No Surprise Act 2022

Pursuant to the federal No Surprises Act of 2022, patients in healthcare settings must be advised of the insurance status of their providers and agree to fees for service before services are provided. A signature page will be provided indicating that the patient has been advised by their provider at Watchung Psychological Associates (WPA) of the following:

-          All providers at WPA are considered out-of-network providers, and do not participate in any insurance plans or sit on any insurance panels.

-          Patients provide full payment at the end of each session, and it is then the patient’s responsibility to submit claims to their own out of network benefits if they should wish to do so.

-          Patients will receive a bill/receipt after each session reflecting the arranged & agreed fee for service for each service provided.

-          Fees for service have/had been discussed and agreed to by provider and patient with adequate time prior to initiation of therapy services.

Patients may inquire about fees and service codes with their provider at any time prior to, or throughout the course of treatment with WPA.
